Culled from the best performances at the 2016 Passion Conference, Salvation's Tide Is Rising evokes the emotional scope of the event itself. Crowder’s well-seasoned growl injects a little grittiness into “My Victory” and “All We Sinners” and provides an earthy contrast to the echoey, ethereal “Remember.” Meanwhile, Chris Tomlin’s simple guitar track “God and God Alone” is elevated by a choir, and Christy Nockels infuses the story-song “Your Grace Amazes Me” with evident emotion. Kristian Stanfill’s dressy cover of “Good Good Father” fittingly closes out the collection on a high note.
