EDITORS’ NOTES

While representing in Portuguese, these Brazilian rabble-rousers are just as playfully snarky in English. Right out of the gate, CSS's euphoric electro-rock drips with sleaze and sass, as hard-edged beats fuel ecstatic chants on "C.S.S. Suxxx." From there, they gleefully mock celebrity ("Meeting Paris Hilton") and find pleasure in their most favorite things with the deliriously catchy nu-disco of "Let's Make Love and Listen to Death from Above" and the crunchy guitar groove of "Music Is My Hot, Hot Sex."

So much fun!

I saw CSS open for Ladytron in Denver last night. They put on such a fun show and won over an audience that didn't know who they were in a matter of minutes. Their CD does not quite capture how good they sound live so I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. Everyone should own a copy of this.

Nice One!

Hey all you DFA, LeTigre types, this is your stuff right here!! Dancing music, drinking music, rockin funk rock with a slpash of electronics. Funny lyrics and flat out fun stuff, that doesnt take itself too seriously (but isnt silly to the point of stupidity). Buy the whole thing

My Favorite Mistake…

A few weeks ago, I wanted to watch a Belle and Sebastian video on my On Demand and accidentally clicked on the video for CSS's "Let's Make Love and Listen to Death From Above". Needless to say, I was hooked…and the rest of the CD keeps that same vibe going throughout. It makes perfect sense that they've been opening for Ladytron – I haven't gotten this excited about a sound since I first heard "604".
