This sounds awesome. Stumbled upon this while browsing iTunes music. Some of the most inspiring classic liberation Gospel anthems of the American Civil Rights movement, and although sung by contemporary artists all the songs are sung in a way that blends the historic with the modern into a beautiful blend of music that portrays one of the most important eras in American history in a respectful, and amazing way. Click play on a couple songs and you probably won't hesitate to buy the whole album. From Wyclef Jean's 'Ben Harper-esque' rendition of "Here's to the State of Mississippi" to The Roots classic Gospel sound in "Ain't Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Around" to John Legend's soulful "Woke Up This Morning" to "We Shall Overcome" this album is both heartfelt, soulful, and powerful.
