These songs followed Mr. Manu Dibango's masterpiece "Soul Makossa", which was delivered to the public alongside the 8th African Cup of Nations hymn which he wrote and was held in Cameroon in Feb 1972. All those songs display the powerful sax play of a 30-year old genius with enough 'organized' music arrangements from his time in Europe, followed by his creative band years in the vibrant Kinshasa music scene that is was following the African independences in the 60s.
That he still has it today, close to 50 years later is just out of this world.
Thanks for all these years, Mr. Dibango.
