When Adam Sanders was a child growing up in northern Florida, his dad turned him on to Country Music Hall of Famer Alan Jackson, the legendary songwriter and country traditionalist behind era-defining '90s hits like “Chattahoochee.” Sanders was so inspired that he moved to Nashville and became an industry songwriter for artists like Cole Swindell and Chase Rice. More than 10 years later, he marks his solo debut with this tenderhearted EP of patient melodies and evocative lyrics about dodging death and falling in love. The tribute ballad “Alan Jackson” hat-tips the icon’s classic style while introducing us to Sanders’ own sonic identity, full of harmony, twang, and aw-shucks charm.
