This is stunning. I have owned this for some time. That no one has bothered to leave a review is disappointing but also unsurprising. The orchestra is lush and imaginative. The piano is resonant and precise, and takes us through such breathtaking melodies that the outcome leaves one aching. Blanchard's trumpet floats above and throughout every composition which supplies the feeling of tragedy and inevitability and beauty that can never be possessed. Ashè is my personal favorite, but the entire work is enduring and probably Blanchard's masterwork.

Such a beautiful album. TB pours his soul into each track. The movie and music work perfectly together to tell the tragic story of Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath

A True Masterpiece

Listening to this album from start to finish will never get old. Every note evokes such emotion and power. I saw the album performed live with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra and it was stirring to say the least. Amazing piece of music.
