10 Songs, 31 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

From Salt Lake City to Los Angeles, Julian Moon has experienced the culture shock and adapted marvelously. Initially thinking that screenwriting would be her creative outlet, she quickly decided that songwriting was a more immediate course of action and was initially offered a deal as a songwriter. Her debut album, Good Girl, was produced by Greg Wells (Adele, Katy Perry); it's catchy pop music but with lyrical ambition and modern touches. Her introspective side—evident on “2AM,” “Who We Are,” “Just Go with It,” and “Loser”—balances between ebullience and melancholia with a tasteful production that goes big or plays small depending upon each song’s emotional needs.
