Brilliant Interpretation

Marsheaux brings "A Broken Frame" to life in unexpected ways. Most of the interpretations are straight-forward synth pop retaining most of the original song structures but with an updated, fresh sound. A helpful reminder the "A Broken Frame" is one of the hidden gems in the Depeche Mode catalog. The first album without Vince Clarke, and Martin Gore finding his way as the newly "promoted" chief songwriter. THANK YOU Marsheaux!

Brought A Tear to My Eye

Marsheaux takes the material and runs with it. Songs such as My Secret Garden, See You, and A Photograph of You sound so much better with a womans voice. This is the sound of the 80's remembered through the lens of the past two decades. So awesome and such a great concept (to redo an entire album). I want them to remake every song from the 80's!

I don't like covers. I don't like Depeche Mode covers. This album is great. (The double album is even better.) Why does this work? I think it's because the musicians/singers are just on it with their interpretation and skilled enough to pull it off. A Broken Frame sounds so fresh again.
