What was that racket coming from the South Side of Chicago in the early '70s? It must have been slashing slide guitarist Hound Dog Taylor and his HouseRockers, one of the noisiest blues acts ever recorded. This debut launched a label (Alligator), and inspired hundreds of blues fans to pick up a guitar and start slidin' away. Crude and unschooled, but instinctive and energetic, Taylor laid this debut album down early in his career, and it went on to become one of the most memorable and important slide guitar outings of all time.
