"Glad All Over" at last

Never thought I'd ever see this on CD or i-tunes. This is the DC5's first U.S. album and it contains their first three hits: "Glad All Over", "Bits and Pieces" and "Do You Love Me". All three flip sides are here too: "All of the Time", "I Know You" and the instrumental "Chaquita".

Fans who have followd the band for as long as I have will notice something strange. Three of the songs have been replaced. For the record, those are "Doo Dah" (no loss there), "She's All Mine" and my favorite, "No Time To Lose". The replacement songs ruin the cohesiveness of the original album, which was 100% fast, thumping rock & roll. And two of them were recorded years after this album and the other, "Crying Over You", was on "Coast to Coast" and is currently available on "History of, Vol. 1". But it's nice to see this available, so that fans who are not familiar with the Dave Clark Five's music can now experience it.

5 stars for the music always, but have to deduct one for the abscence of "No Time To Lose".

Not the original track listing... Dave Clark, stop messing with history!

I refuse to buy this album as, in its iTunes incarnation, three of its original tracks have been replaced by other songs... that weren't even recorded in the same year! The Internet rumor is that these three songs were written by Dave Clark bandmate Ron Ryan, who famously sued Clark over songwriting royalties, and that this is why the original songs were omitted -- Clark doesn't want Ryan to get any money off the album! Whatever the case, I will not give my money to a botched, "revisionist history" reissue such as this. Maybe if few people buy it, it will teach Dave Clark a lesson.

Too bad the songs written by Ron Ryan were deleted from this album, otherwise glad to have it.
