Since debuting with Grace & Grit in 2016, Meghan Patrick has quickly become one of country’s most exciting young acts, notching a slew of awards for her acclaimed blend of Southern rock and traditional country. Heart on My Glass, Patrick's third album, marks the Canadian singer-songwriter’s debut international release. “This feels like the most all-encompassing representation of me as a writer, an artist, and a human,” Patrick tells Apple Music. “I had so much more time over the past year to focus on writing and really being able to dig into what my sound and message should be. All the pieces fell into place.” Alongside singles “My First Car” and “Never Giving Up on You,” “Mama Prayed For” is a vulnerable, script-flipping tale of a rough-and-tumble woman with “a sleeve full of tattoos” and “a Metallica T-shirt” envisioning meeting her boyfriend’s mother. And the title track is a barstool confessional about the one who doesn’t know they’re the one. “When we started writing it, it felt really good,” she says. “I was kinda joking it was sort of like a more grungier version of ‘You Belong With Me' by Taylor Swift.”
