Long Money Peewee Longway
EDITORS’ NOTES
When it comes to Atlanta’s mixtape scene, few represent the trap quite like these two prolific spitters. The fiercely independent figures, who’ve respectively found success without going the major-label route, give their devoted listeners a genuine event record to delve into with this stacked project. Long Money leaves plenty of room for both Peewee Longway and Money Man to stunt, with exemplary solo joints like “Judo” from the former and “Exotic” from the latter. But when the two get together again and again to cook on a track, like on the slick and salacious single “Ooowwweee,” their hustler chemistry proves undeniable. Though few and far between, guest appearances like “Backstroke” with Memphis antihero Young Dolph and “Still Hustlin’” with Oakland’s own Kamaiyah accentuate the core duo’s strengths.
