11 Songs, 35 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

Brother and sister Stuart and Jenna Walker are The Reklaws (Reklaw = Walker spelled backwards, geddit?), and over the course of a handful of singles and EPs, the country duo has staked a claim to a particular sort of feel-good lifestyle music. Their debut album is titled Freshman Year, and while it’s probably been a few semesters since these two were spotted on campus, they manage to nail an oddly specific sense of carefree romance that’s sure to soundtrack someone’s back-to-school season. “Long Live the Night,” with its shout-along chorus, is a tailgate party in song form, while the puppy-love ballads “Feels Like That” and “Missing You” temper the after-hours drinking vibes of “Wish You Were Beer” and "Last Call.”
