Editors’ Notes In a career that’s traversed punk, pop, electro, rock, hip-hop, and funk, Regurgitator combines them all into one upbeat, G-rated collection on their first-ever kids’ album, designed to appeal to the outer reaches of children’s imaginations. “There’s a tiger flying a UFO,” they sing on the country-polka-pop of “Pigeon Riding on a Motorcycle”; toilet humor raises its head on the Beastie Boys-style hip-hop of “Mr Butt” as they chant, “We can see your butt! We can see your butt!” With each song interspersed with skits, The Really Really Really Really Boring Album was inspired by a 2013 festival performance in which Regurgitator adapted their regular set for an audience of kids. The youngsters will delight in sub-two-minute ditties such as “Farting Is a Part of Life,” while the band’s trademark musical shape-shifting will remind parents of the days they spent in the mosh pit, not the playground.
