It’s pretty easy to fall head over heels with Feist’s “1234”—the damnably catchy pop tune that anchors The Reminder—but there’s so much more here to love. The Canadian songbird confidently revisits the winning soft-pop template of Let It Die with added bump, hustle, and swagger, stirring a little Dusty Springfield and echoes of her own rock-chick pedigree into a dreamy mélange that’s both defiantly genre-less and thoroughly accessible. It still sounds like nothing but Feist.
