Editors’ Notes When their 10th anniversary tour was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, metalgaze pioneers Deafheaven decided to record a live album—in the studio. Tracked at Atomic Garden in Palo Alto, California, with their longtime producer Jack Shirley, 10 Years Gone showcases blistering, unvarnished new renditions of live staples “Dream House,” “Baby Blue,” and “The Pecan Tree” alongside the 2014 one-off “From the Kettle Onto the Coil,” a reimagining of their early demo track “Daedalus,” and an especially intense version of the Ordinary Corrupt Human Love essential “Glint.”
