Ok, the big guitars and 80's anthem style rockers are not here BUT you have to give to to the Scorpions for writing an album unlike anything they've ever done before. As a musician myself I know that eventually you get to a point in your career where you just have to do something you've always wanted to try doing or do what you want to do no matter what people think of it. This is the Scorpions doing exactly that. It's not for every Scorpions fan, but it's fun to listen to.

a little bit different.

yes its just a little different.but some of the ballads, and they are known for ther ballads are really really good.the bands getting older and you have too evolve.klaus's voise is wonderfull still.the first track has a great groove.to be #1 has great uptempo and a great guitar solo.so this albumis not to be dismissed.there are some nice gems in there

Not sure why people contiually refuse to allow hard rockers to experiement with different sounds. So what...the scorpions threw in some more pop sounds on Eye II Eye. It is sill a very good album. Not their best but still good. Obsession is a solid power ballad. Mysterious and tobe No. 1 are great songs. This album is better then some of the lackluuster harder albums.
