Good for Bear!!!!

So great to see Bear McCreary finally get a big theatrical release. Been following his music since Battlestar Galactica, and have yet to be dissapointed.

Unique

I used the term 'unique' in my subject line. That's a big statement, but one that Bear McCreary rightfully earns here. "Michelle", my favorite piece, immediately pulls the viewer in and sets the tone for this mysterious tour de force of a film, and the remaining tracks keep the atmosphere in place. McCreary's score is thrilling, dramatic (yet not excessively so), and even sentimental/emotional when required. Much like Disasterpeace's incredible score for "It Follows", the music is a treat with or without the film's presence, and that is when you know you've found something special. Great music for a great film.

Amazing Soundtrack

I had never heard of Bear McCreary until the day before I watched the movie and happened to hear a news story about him on NPR, but I have to say this is one of the best soundtracks I have ever heard. Each track has a purpose and does an excellent job at capturing the mystery and tension in the movie.
