Andrea De Filippi chose his moniker, Alfa, as a reminder to always give the best of himself. Putting out accomplished releases like 2019’s Before Wanderlust—a joint effort with producer YANOMI—the songsmith displayed a startling honesty in poetic, piano-laden meditations and pop-rap meanderings that brought listeners to all corners of the world. He further honed his sound and craft in 2021’s NoRd. And he’s always poised to follow his muse to new creative destinations, whether that means momentarily trading his guitar for a ukulele or singing a whistle-along tune for a romantic soundtrack.
