About Chris Pandolfi

Based in Denver, Chris Pandolfi is a banjo player and producer best known as a founding member of progressive bluegrass heroes the Infamous Stringdusters. Since forming in the mid-2000s, they have become one of the most prominent and respected string bands in the genre, with multiple Grammy nominations and a Best Bluegrass Album win for their 2017 release Laws of Gravity. Pandolfi is also a solo artist with three eclectic albums to his credit, two of them released under his more experimental alias, Trad Plus. His 2021 release Trad Plus Presents: Trance Banjo paired modern compositions on his primary instrument with an array of unusual samples, synths, and electronic beats. As a producer, Pandolfi has worked with acts like the Kitchen Dwellers and Trout Steak Revival. He also began hosting the podcast Inside the Musician's Brain in 2019.
