Raphael Saadiq found acclaim as one of the preeminent R&B artists of the ‘90s. As the frontman to Tony! Toni! Toné!, Saadiq thrived in the new jack swing era and became a precursor to the neo-soul movement in the late '90s. He would go on to form Lucy Pearl with Dawn Robinson of En Vogue and A Tribe Called Quest's Ali Shaheed Muhammad and mastermind a critically acclaimed album. He now records and performs as a solo artist while contributing to other artist's projects such as D'Angelo's Voodoo and TLC's 3D.
