Procol Harum Essentials

Procol Harum Essentials

Procol Harum was one of the first bands to bring a classical influence to rock music, scoring hits that incorporated classical motifs as early as 1967 and creating what would become classic rock staples in the process. They were also among the first to feature a non-performing lyricist, the poetic Keith Reid, as a member. The band's dual keyboard setup, complemented by future solo star Robin Trower's blistering lead guitar, was ahead of its time as well, and the band's personality remained intact even after Trower and organist Matthew Fisher left the group.
