Method Man Essentials

Method Man was the first member of the Wu-Tang Clan to go solo, even getting his own showcase moment on “Method Man” from the group's debut album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). His raspy voice and grimy lyrics didn't dim the crossover appeal of a charismatic MC who could write catchy hooks, and he showed a romantic side on songs like the blockbuster Mary J. Blige duet “I'll Be There For You / You're All I Need To Get By”. His chemistry with Redman led to yet another phase of his career as half of one of hip-hop's most dynamic duos on rowdy anthems like “How High”.
