Motörhead were early adopters of speed, intense volume and a take-no-prisoners approach to rock music, and their raw-edged consistency had a huge effect on thrash, death metal and alternative. These bands borrowed from an arsenal of relentless riffs, but more importantly, they adopted the Motörhead ethos: undermine all trends with a no-nonsense devotion to aggressive rock 'n' roll.
