Grizzly Bear: Influences

Grizzly Bear: Influences

Before becoming indie darlings, Grizzly Bear was largely a solo project for frontman Ed Droste that took influence from The Beach Boys' surf rock and the indie folk of Elliott Smith. With the addition of bandmates, Grizzly Bear started integrating the electronic pop of Björk and the IDM of Boards of Canada to create the multifaceted and evolving sound they're now known for.
