Singer, rapper and producer Dzharo is behind some of Russian pop’s biggest bangers. Widely known for making dance-floor favourites with regular collaborator Khanza, Dzharo turns to solo work to explore his songwriting beyond the duo’s hits. He seesaws between guitar-laden deep house, hip-hop, trap and dub reggae in poignant urban narratives. His 2020 joint single with singer-songwriter Max Barskih, “Lonely”, bids farewell to summer with an incandescent mix gently tinged with romantic melancholy.
