In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My musical journey began when visiting family in Detroit and met an aunt who was an entertainer. She introduced me to Nancy Wilson, Sarah Vaughn, and Dinah Washington. I began listening to music to hone my vocal style, and took piano lessons. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Angela Bofill, Angie (Expanded Edition) Deniece Williams, This Is Niecy Sade, Diamond Life In high school, I fell in love with Angie and Deniece. They were the sweetest sounds I had ever heard. Then Sade completed the natural sequence I began developing. I played their vinyls so much that I wore it out and had to buy brand new albums.
