About Palak Muchhal
Palak Muchhal is an Indian playback singer best known for her work in Bollywood films and with children’s charities. ∙ Muchhal began singing at age four and joined her first musical act, The Kalyanji-Anandji Little Star Group, when she was six. ∙ She made her Bollywood breakthrough with the song “Laapata,” which was featured in the 2012 thriller Ek Tha Tiger, one of the 25 highest-grossing Indian films of all time. ∙ Both the Government of India and Guinness World Records have recognized her charity work for children with heart ailments, and she’s credited with helping to save more than 2,200 lives. ∙ The song “Kaun Tujhe,” from 2016 film M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, earned her the award for Best Female Playback Singer at the 2017 Star Screen Awards. ∙ Doctors have invited Muchhal to sing prayers from the Bhagavad Gita during operations so frequently that she has her own personalized medical gowns.
