North Sea Story

The emotional alternative rock of Brooklyn's North Sea Story first came together in 1997. Graphic designer by day Chris Standish (or Dish as he prefers) formed the original lineup with Paul Fitzgerald, Rance Piatt, and Dave Brown, and recorded a demo with Charles Bissell of the Wrens. After recording their debut, Working for Wellness, Dave Brown quit and the band hit the road as a three-piece. During the recording of their follow-up, bandmembers dropped off one by one, leaving Dish as the sole member. Finishing the album with members of the Hold Steady and Maplewood, Rebuilding Season saw the light of day in 2002. ~ David Jeffries
