About The Freshman
They first met as competitors on reality TV show Project SuperStar 2 in 2006. But Carrie Yeo and Chen Diya’s mutual musical determination meant they soon became firm pals. The pair teamed up in 2010 as The Freshman to drop their folk-Mandopop debut album Life Experiment 101. As singer-songwriters, the free-spirited duo create music from wherever their journey takes them, letting their positivity be the guiding light amid their ups and downs. Their musical career took a great leap forward when they appeared as backing vocalists on veteran singer Jacky Cheung’s long-running global tour.
