About The Trigger Code

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Around the age of six, I was watching TV with my family and during the commercial break on came a Time Life ad for an Elvis record collection. I saw Elvis. I saw rock n' roll. I was hooked in a second. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bruce Springsteen, The River The Cardigans, Long Gone Before Daylight (Remastered) U2, Achtung Baby Achtung Baby - A perfect example of a band finding new sounds and ideas without losing what got them there. Long Gone... - Every song and performance is pure precision yet fully human. The River - Life in an epic hour and a half. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Never Say Die” This is one of the first songs I wrote upon adapting The Trigger Code as my artistic and musical modus operandi. There is rarely a time when I don't play this during a live set. As a small fish in a massive pond, it continues to push me. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Any time I hear a song of mine in film or TV it's surreal, but the best yet has been what is essentially a music video for the The Fugitive Kind - the opening scene of Shameless in the season 7 premier. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'm always looking for new meaning for old words; new ways of thinking about common observations and experiences; new metaphors and sounds. But never wanting to forsake honesty. It's a bucket you can't really empty. If it is then I'll be done.
