About Kathleen Edwards

Having opened for Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones before she turned 30, Kathleen Edwards made quite a name for herself at a young age. After studying classical music while growing up in Ottawa, Edwards immersed herself in the likes of Dylan, Neil Young, and more modern influences such as Gillian Welch. She released her debut, FAILER, which was re-released by Zoe/Rounder after some South By Southwest-inspired buzz. In the subsequent years, Edwards rounded out her alt-country sound with some poppier edges, and has become a fixture on the female Americana landscape, alongside iconic inspirations like Lucinda Williams.
