Laufey’s incomparably cosy jazz-pop makes the rest of the year feel like Christmas anyway, so it was only a matter of time before she threw her hat into the holiday album ring. Everything here is both totally delightful and exactly where you’d expect it: the playful curlicues of plucked strings and slinky bassoon on “Santa Baby”; the brisk, muted trumpet on “Winter Wonderland”; the children’s choir on the lesser-known “The Christmas Waltz”; and so on.
