By garnering multimillion views on social media with his club smashes, singer-songwriter and rapper Egor Kreed has become a major player in Russian pop. Rapping his way to success in the early ‘10s, he swerved into pop and R&B with two LPs on prominent rapper Timati’s Black Star label. He further established his dominance by mixing uptempo club beats, sticky choruses and high-flying duets with the likes of pop star MOLLY. But Kreed remains a restless conjurer of new sounds: after breaking ties with Black Star, he embraced darker rock and trap grooves on third album 58 in 2020.
