Roman native Alex Britti can turn a simple phrase or melody into a grand, sweeping song—and make it sound effortless. The singer-songwriter and guitarist has evolved from a blues-leaning rocker towards much gentler pop hits throughout a career that began back in the ‘90s, but his distinct, subtle vocal style has always made him stand out. Britti cemented his place in Italian pop with albums like 1999's hugely popular It.Pop and the even bigger follow-up La Vasca in 2000. Working with greats like Billy Preston, Buddy Miles, and Rosa King further helped Britti become a respected musical force.
