Most K-pop groups attempt to break into the Japanese market with re-recorded versions of their Korean singles. But the boys in U-KISS have taken a more native approach consistent with their reputation as a bilingual group, releasing primarily original songs written and recorded in Japan. While they still offer some of the sweet ballads and R&B intrinsic to K-pop, the boy band's angsty, high-energy, dance-pop tracks are perfectly suited to the more EDM-friendly J-pop market.
