Triple One Essentials

Western Sydney rap quartet Triple One are as lively as they are versatile, pinging with energy across stylistic shifts. Paired with producer Billy Gunns and vocalist Lil Dijon, rappers Marty Large and Obi Ill Terrors balance sharp flow with smooth shades of R&B over trap beats and samples. Beyond their charismatic swagger are plenty of nuances to savour, from the chilled guitar opening of “Autumn Collection” to distinctly Aussie references to Picnic at Hanging Rock and king hits on breakthrough track “Showoff”. As if they needed any more homegrown authenticity, Triple One recorded their 2018 EP The Naughty Corner in a farm building used for shearing sheep.
