Britain’s Tom Zanetti wears many hats: promoter, rapper, producer, reality TV star. All those roles require confidence, and he’s got plenty. His music shows all the insouciant flair of a man on top of the world. “Got a unique swag and I pull it off,” he boasts on his 2016 breakout hit, “You Want Me”, bouncing atop a minor-key bassline. On 2020’s “Flight Mode”, he raps teasingly about private jets and table service over a woozy house groove. He sticks to his trademark skeletal beats on 2021’s “Didn’t Know”, with good reason: All that space in the mix just gives Zanetti more room to shine.
