The Indonesian DJ/producer born Kurniawan Wicaksono started as a dubstep disciple. Yet on tracks like "Grindin" and his bass-heavy remix of Midnight Quickie's "Begitu Indah" (Very Beautiful), he polishes breakneck beats with gamelan gongs and bells borrowed from his home country's folk tradition. Bleu's at his twistiest in "The Tastemaker", taking nitrous-squeaking synths and dubstep-influenced drum patterns through countless switchback turns. In 2017, he enjoyed a regional splash with "Mimpi Jadi Nyata" (Dream Come True), a pop-inflected take on breakbeat maximalism featuring vocalist Kamga.
