About Phyzix

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I recorded and released my first song; "It's a Killer" about HIV/AIDS awareness in 2005 and my very first performance of the song was in a Stadium (CIVO Stadium, Lilongwe, Malawi.) where PSI/Malawi was doing "Stars Aware" HIV/AIDS awareness campaign. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? 50 Cent, Get Rich or Die Tryin' (Bonus Track Version) Drake, Thank Me Later Jedi Mind Tricks, Servants In Heaven, Kings In Hell These albums were released at critical points in my life as a Musician. They heavily influenced my sonic direction, my writing, my thinking and my brand positioning as an artist. I used to often listen to the full albums from beginning to the end. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Cholapitsa” "Cholapitsa" was my first HIT song released in 2006 whilst I was in College. It was a smash hit that made me a household name and also shaped Malawi Hip Hop. It went super viral and remained relevant for years to date. Produced by The Dare Devilz. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I received a record 12 Music Awards Nominations in 2020 more than any artist ever in Malawi. I went ahead to win 5 of those Awards. Ranked number 42 in the Top 100 list of African Rappers - the only Malawian and a Top 10 song “Follow” on BBC Radio. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to fill up a Stadium with an amazing musical performance in my country Malawi, to win a Grammy Award, to win a BET Award and to go on Tour in Europe, Asia, America and the rest of the World.
