The Neighborhood Brats are a California punk rock band whose heart and soul are rooted in old-school, first-era punk, while they play with a tempo and intensity that rival those of contemporary hardcore bands. After only five rehearsals (and before they'd played a live show), the Neighborhood Brats cut a five-song EP that was released in March 2011. They issued two singles in 2012, but by the end of that year, the rising cost of living in San Francisco led the group to relocate to the Los Angeles community of Long Beach. The Birth Rights EP and the long-player No Sun No Tan arrived in 2013, followed by the Total Dementia EP and full-length Recovery the following year. ~ Mark Deming
