About Basetsana

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories is when I was singing Fergie’s Big Girls Don’t Cry, and my entire family cried tears of joy, that was a solid confirmation that I can sing for my family and the rest of the world. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Adele, 25 Malaika, Vuthelani Mariah Carey, Daydream I chose these 3 albums because not only is it the best, but it also shows that with music one can have it all: quality, quantity and messages within the music; messages of love, heartbreak, healing, self celebration, fun and joy. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Mdali” I chose this song because not only is it rather personal prayer to God, a musical letter to God. It brings me healing and it also brings the people who listen healing. It shows that I am doing my job; moving the spirit and touching the soul. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The most memorable moments in my career are many but ones that stand out are: Being on SA IDOLS Season 13(Top 16),sharing a stage with DJ Zinhle, being on Cotten Fest and also having 3 hits in one year. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Yes there is, I want to win a Grammy for best SA Artist, Writer, to have a song with Black Coffee, Kabza De Small, Burna Boy, Tems and hopefully write a song for Beyoncé and Rihanna.
