The Futureheads are what happens when a 21st-century a cappella group pick up electric guitars and start singing new wave rock songs. Coming to prominence in the early-'00s post-punk revival alongside bands like Franz Ferdinand and The Strokes, the Sunderland quartet exhibited a unique affinity for playful multi-part vocal harmonies on their eponymous debut. They even released an a cappella covers album of their own songs, 2012's Rant, and have since gone on tour bringing nothing but their considerable vocal abilities.
