One of the biggest breakout groups to arise from Israel in the mid-'90s, Infected Mushroom have spread their singular trance-inducing electronic sound to dance floors around the world. The duo of Erez Eisen and Amit Duvdevani have a knack for mashing together disparate styles, as heard on “Becoming Insane”, in which folky strings and shredding metal riffs coalesce under a crowd-pleasing thump. The flickering synths and roller-coaster bass throbs of tracks like “Never Mind” make the group a perfect fit for the EDM circuit, while the squelching sound effects of “Converting Vegetarians” even evoke IDM.
