With a number of mixtapes popular in Atlanta rap circles to his name, K CAMP was signed to Interscope Records in 2014. That year's debut LP, Only Way Is Up, flashes diverse productions in the summer bounce of “1Hunnid” featuring Fetty Wap, the trap bass and woozy keys of “Who Am I” with Yo Gotti, and the soul groove of mega-hit “Comfortable”. But it’s “Lottery (Renegade)”, the closing track on K CAMP’s 2019 album Wayy 2 Kritical, that gave a viral thrust to his ubiquity, as millions of TikTok app users and celebrities uploaded their take on The Renegade Dance atop 15-second snippets of the hard bass jam.
