Rage Against the Machine: Influences

Rage Against the Machine: Influences

Rap-rock pioneers Rage Against the Machine were inspired by the hardest-hitting sounds from different genres. You can easily hear the band's love of hardcore punk and metal, from the funk-inspired sounds of Bad Brains and Jane's Addiction to the reggae-influenced grooves of Fugazi and The Clash. But there's also no denying their deep love of the righteous political hip-hop of Public Enemy and KRS-One.
