Los Fabulosos Cadillacs Essentials

On their 1986 debut, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs declared that they wanted to die playing ska, but these Buenos Aires punks with horns would go on to redefine Latin rock as a sound without limits. Led by singer Vicentico and bassist Sr. Flavio, the group's many albums of the '80s and '90s wrapped working-class concerns in celebratory Afro-Caribbean carnival rhythms, tough Brazilian beats, reggae, salsa and even thrash metal. The hard-touring, Latin GRAMMY®-winning act went on hiatus in 2002, but they returned with a new album, El Arte de la Elegancia de LFC, in 2009.
