If any song could swagger into a room, it would probably be one of Diamante Eléctrico’s seductive rock grooves. The Colombian group rose to fame in 2013 and quickly became known for their slick riffs and irresistible beats. ‘Retroceder’, from their eponymous debut album, sees the band employ lo-fi garage rock to full effect. The bluesy affiliation continued on 2016’s ‘Déjala Rodar’, where yelping horns and rumbling guitar licks roar for attention. Since then the band have brought more electronic elements into the mix—2018’s ‘El Naufragio (Salvavidas)’ stomps into life with a synth fuzz hook.
