Asleep at the Wheel drew from generations of country artists in forming their dancehall-ready Western swing sound, with old classics like Bob Wills' "Time Changes Anything" laying the foundation for the group with its vigorous beat and hot-stuff piano solo. On "Lost In the Ozone", Commander Cody updated Western swing in a similar fashion to Asleep at the Wheel, adding tough electric guitar and gritty, loose vocals.
