With a familiar name in music (his dad is singer/songwriter Albert Hammond) and an already impressive guitarist credit with The Strokes, Albert Hammond Jr. still managed to launch his solo career in a rather modest fashion. His 2006 debut album, Yours to Keep, is an understated but catchy set of vintage-hued rock that reveals Hammond as a songwriter with enough cool confidence to command the spotlight all on his own. With each release, Hammond digs even deeper, like on 2018's Francis Trouble, an intimate collection filled with his sharp signature riffs and melodic charm.
